Alien Covenant - Target DVD and BluRay

When Fox came to us at InSync with their new movie Alien Covenant, it was another dream franchise for me to work on. They needed special edition packaging for Target as well as box art for multiple format releases. 

There was a lot of imagery given to us for this film, in the piece below (black / teeth) I found a behind the scenes image of a man carrying one of the Alien head props. It was good enough quality that when I zoomed in I was able to get the mouth and teeth. In order to get the drips, I has our photographer rig up a piece of white paper and drip honey down it. It really helped us get that viscous look and feel to the Alien saliva.

The Target box was also a great project to work on. We needed to create a book that was a combination of stills from the movie plus artwork from H.R. Giger himself. There was a lot of back and forth, a lot of consideration on the font family (should it be sci-fi, should it be more techno, etc...). Ultimately we ended up going with a cleaner font look to really help all the imagery shine.

The main cover art is still being used for VOD and other streaming applications. It was really cool to have this piece of media in my hands, there is just something different about something you created being in the physical world.
